Woke up and took the bullet train!  Went 175 MPH on Ben’s app. 

Bento box was not great. :(

Had some matcha kitkats though.  Yum!

Took a pirate ship on lake Ashi!  Sat right in front and amazing view of the land in the shade and the cool breeze from the lake was so peaceful. 

Beautiful pirate ship took us down the lake and almost saw Mt Fuji but it was cloudy.

Fuji-San was hiding. 

Got to our lunch location   

had some amazing fat noodles and fried lake fish which tasted like sardines to me, so I gave those to Hilary.  Really amazing shrimp tempura.

Took a cable car to the top of another volcanic mountain: Sengokuhara

More amazing views of steam vents from the still active volcano deep down.  It feeds their natural hot springs.

And their thing was the black egg:  they would cook it in water from the volcano and the egg shell would turn black.  Eating it gives you 7 years longer life. So we all ate one! 

We took another cable car down to another area and went to an outdoor sculpture garden! That cable car was going down elevation rapidly and I was pressed up against the door so I was really terrified, but it was a great view. 

It was great!  The boys were giggling like beevis and butthead at the nudes, and there were a few that looked very humorous.  One statue of a woman looked like she was taking a dump.  

One looked like a naked guy did a belly flop onto the grass.  

There was a giant stained glass tower and a Picasso exhibit that were great. The kids loved it. We even dipped our feet into a hot spring water.  That was free.  The towels were extra.  The water was so hot, our feet turned pink like lobsters. 

We took a funicular down the side and it was so hot in there.  We got to the bottom and found our train that would take us down the rest of the way and back to the train station. 

Bought some snacks at the stand and got onto the romancecar train.  Because there are all love seats.  Got almost to the front, and get to see amazing views of the countryside as we travel back to Tokyo.  

Walked to a crazy crowded train station, got a bit lost, found a light show on a building with Pac-Man.

Went to piss alley and saw all the tiny restaurants.  Saw a Godzilla head on a building.  

Exhausted, we headed back to the hotel.
